Challenge

A manufacturing site needs a one-stop complete solution ready for 1.300 m³/year waste water in single IBCs. The wastewater quality between the IBCs varies significantly and was unpredictable. Up to now it is not fully known which quality is to be expected inside a certain IBC and an external supplier is responsible for disposal with high wastewater disposal costs.
They need a technology that is flexible to different influent wastewater qualities and meets discharge quality with a reliable payback (< 1,5 years).

 

Solution

An implementation of a chemical pre-treatment step prior to akvoFloat™ technology is crucial for a stable operation of the plant in terms of low fouling of the membrane and constant permeate flux. The feasibility of discharging the treated water directly into the public sewer will lead to a significant reduction of the overall water disposal costs.
